Hadrian Border have a new ‘Rose and Thistle’ brand bringing together the best of brewing from the England-Scotland border.
We have passed our SALSA audit! SALSA is a food-safety standard written by experienced food safety experts to reflect both the legal requirements of producers and the enhanced expectations of 'best practice' of professional food buyers.
SALSA certification is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard.’
Brewery Director Andy Burrows said, "We have been working hard over the last 3 months towards gaining full SALSA Accreditation. This is one of the few generally accepted accreditation schemes around. We were very pleased to pass at an exceptional level with no outstanding issues. All production staff gained City & Guilds at level 2 or 3 in Food hygiene and management in the process."
